AC Milan are hoping to unblock their incoming market by selling Lucas Paqueta to Lyon with contacts underway, according to a report.
Paqueta arrived from Flamengo in January 2019 but in the 2019-20 season he was unable to repeat the positive signs he showed in the first few months under Gennaro Gattuso.
Therefore, Tuttosport (via MilanLive) are reporting that a sale is considered the best solution for all parties, and that while Milan hope to collect €25m from his sale, they would also be satisfied with €23m.
Lyon are interested in the Brazilian and have begun talks with his agent Eduardo Uram through sporting director Juninho. The Rossoneri are waiting for a concrete offer, but the Ligue 1 side need to sell before making their first bid.
Memphis Depay will probably leave for Barcelona while one of Houssem Aouar and Jeff Reine-Adelaide is also likely to leave. Once some sales have been defined, Juninho will be able to make a real attempt for his compatriot and protégé.
Paquetà’s farewell would help Milan to operate on the incoming market, as there is a willingness to buy a new central defender.
