The paper (via MilanNews) writes how Maldini went from being captain on the field to working behind a desk after a long study break, but his charisma hasn’t changed and he has become a leader of Milan just as he was as a player.
Maldini took over the responsibility of being technical director back in 2019 when Leonardo left, and in the last year and a half he has become more executive, establishing himself as the point of reference for the entire club.
His choices deserve praise too; from the purchase of Theo Hernandez – Maldini’s first move on the market – every step has been successful. The return of Ibrahimovic, the choice of including other experienced players (such as Kjaer) in a very young squad and even his handling of the Donnarumma saga – all have been appreciated.
