It has been well documented that Milan are on the lookout for a new full-back to become the deputy to Theo Hernandez and although Diego Laxalt is returning from his loan at Celtic, he does not seem to feature in the plans of the club and instead looks to be closing in on a move to Russia.

According to reports from Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), Maldini is looking to launched a decisive assault for Junior Firpo, the Barcelona left-back who has the same agent as Brahim Diaz. A loan deal has been mentioned by a number of other sources, but one thing that does seem to be certain is that Milan are moving in on filling another gap in the squad ahead of next season.
