AC Milan and Inter have finally set a date for a meeting with the City Council over the future of the new stadium project, a report claims.

The two clubs officially launched their project to build a new state-of-the-art stadium last month, in order to help move into the modern era and begin generating more revenue.
However a number of obstacles have been placed in front of them, such as a lack of understanding regarding the restrictions that will be placed upon the current stadium and how much of their proposed development of the surrounding area will be permitted.
Last week, il Corriere di Milano claimed that Milan and Inter are considering the idea of building the new stadium in San Donato, around 10km south east of the city centre and the southernmost stop on the metro system.
According to Friday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), the long-awaited meeting between the two clubs and the Milan Council has been set.
The paper reports that the parties will converge on Tuesday morning to discuss concretely the constraints that have been placed following the vote on public interest – a positive one for the clubs – in particular related to the repurposing of the current structure.
