Tuttosport: Milan starlet Camarda could receive first senior call-up amid crisis

AC Milan will be without Olivier Giroud in the next two games and Luka Jovic has been a disappointing signing so far. Therefore, as highlighted by a report this morning, the Rossoneri starlet Francesco Camarda could receive his first senior call-up.

Camarda has been a huge success for the Primavera at the start of this season, scoring seven goals in all competitions. Three of them have come in the UEFA Youth League, where the 15-year-old is facing players who are much older them him.

The success hasn’t gone unnoticed and several top clubs are monitoring his situation. Milan are expected to renew his contract in March – when it’s legal for them to do so – and Camarda himself is keen on making his first-team debut for the Rossoneri one day.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (see photo below), Camarda could receive his first senior call-up after the international break. Giroud’s suspension, as well as the struggles of Jovic, could force Stefano Pioli to act. Having said that, the youngster would only be used in extreme necessity.

Milan are convinced of Camarda’s qualities and want him to develop at the right pace. Ignazio Abate has done a great job with the striker so far, but it’s only natural that the fans want to see him with the first team.
