In the last few months, AC Milan have been heavily linked with Renato Sanches after a January move allegedly fell through late. However, the Rossoneri could re-evaluate their interest in the midfielder, a report claims.
Sanches’ contract with Lille will expire in 2023 and the French side are thus inclined to sell him this summer, in order to not lose him for free. As confirmed by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are still following the midfielder after the January attempt.
However, doubts have emerged that could force them to re-evaluate their interest. The Portuguese midfielder recently sustained an injury and will be out for three weeks, shedding light on the physical issues he has had throughout his career.
In addition, Juventus are also interested in Sanches and as we know, Milan aren’t exactly keen on participating in auctions. That’s why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could end up looking elsewhere, but for now they are still following the player.
