According to Friday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan’s dream was to get their hands on Nikola Milenkovic, but Fiorentina’s asking price is €35-40m and they want him to sign a renewal despite the fact the player would be open to the move.
As a result, Stefano Pioli has expressed an interest in welcoming German Pezzella to his ranks instead. The 29-year-old Argentine can leave for €18-20million, while Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have already had a meeting at Casa Milan with his agent Martin Guastadisegno.
No confirmations have emerged regarding a possible exchange between Leo Duarte and Pezzella despite the rumours doing the rounds yesterday.
The former Real Betis man worked under Pioli at Fiorentina, and the report adds that the parties will update soon to understand if there is the possibility of entering into a negotiation.
