Lorenzo Colombo

AC Milan striker Lorenzo Colombo is not going to leave the club on loan this summer unless he knows he will get plenty of minutes on the pitch at his new club, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Italian striker is prepared to remain with the Rossoneri in the 2023/24 campaign rather than go and sit on the bench elsewhere.

He spent last season on loan at Lecce where he impressed, but a new loan move is yet to materialise.

Atalanta and Cagliari have been known admirers of Colombo this summer but the former has got Duvan Zapata, Luis Muriel and now El Bilal-Toure on the books.

Cagliari could be a more realistic option, although they just signed Eldor Shomurodov on loan from AS Roma so there is competition there.

If Colombo does not leave, then Milan cannot make a move for Alejo Veliz from Rosario.
