AC Milan are still searching for a potential replacement for Fode Ballo-Toure and they have Pasquale Mazzocchi on their list of names, a report claims.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan have made it clear to Ballo-Toure that he is no longer part of the plans by leaving him at home for the USA tour and they are now hoping to secure his sale.
The Rossoneri had reached an agreement with Fulham on the basis of a €4m transfer fee but Ballo-Tourè declined the move because he would prefer to stay in Italy and join Bologna, another club strongly interested in the Senegal international.
Meanwhile, Milan are studying options to become the new deputy to Theo Hernandez. Riccardo Calafiori of Basel is a profile that is admired, but Pasquale Mazzocchi of Salernitana stands out too because he can play both left-back and right-back.
There is competition from Torino though, who would like to sign Mazzocchi to replace Wilfried Singo who will not renew his contract expiring in 2024. The Piedmontese club are like Milan in that they cannot move until a sale is made.
