Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract deadline of June 30 is getting closer and closer and for now there is still no agreement between Milan and his agent Mino Raiola.

The Rossoneri management are obviously against the idea of Donnarumma leaving on a free transfer so therefore it will be necessary to strike some kind of a deal. As reported this morning by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the parties are in constant contact, but until now there have not been any real and concrete turning points.
The 22-year-old continues to give his priority to a renewal with Milan, who are offering €7.5m net per season while Raiola continues to ask for €10m. The distance therefore is sizeable and the feeling is that an acceleration can only come when Milan secure a place in the next Champions League.
In addition to the salary, there is still an agreement to be found on the duration of the new contract as Milan would like a five-year extension, while Donnarumma’s agent proposes a maximum of two years with a release clause in case of non-qualification for the Champions League.
In the last few hours, a new idea has emerged: an extension for a year and in practice every speech postponed for a few months. It is evident that Raiola is waiting for some important offers from top European clubs, to further strengthen his hand.
