AC Milan’s injury situation shows no signs of getting better any time soon, meaning that Stefano Pioli will continue to rely on some Primavera stars to fill his bench.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has taken stock of Milan’s dire injury situation, which of course starts with the fact that the top three in the centre-back hierarchies – Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori – are all out.
Mattia Caldara may have been used given the emergency but he too is injured, then in midfield Tommaso Pobega faces a long-term absence and Yunus Musah will also be missing tonight as he struggles to shake off a muscle issue. Noah Okafor is an absentee in attack.
For this reason Pioli is forced to ‘plunder’ the Primavera who are at least not involved in a game this weekend meaning Ignazio Abate will not lose several key men again as his title push continues.
In addition to Jan Carlo Simic and Davide Bartesaghi who have played several times this season, Pioli should also call upon Kevin Zeroli – who was present in Salerno – the defender Alex Jimenez and striker Francesco Camarda, who made his debut at a very young age at the beginning of the month.
