Mattia Caldara is destined to leave AC Milan this summer but the Rossoneri have not received any concrete offers for the centre-back. That could be about to change, though, according to a report.

Caldara spent last season on loan at Spezia and still has one year left on his contract with Milan. Since Spezia got relegated, they never exercised the €3m buy-out clause in the loan deal and the defender is thus back at Milan.
According to yesterday’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Hellas Verona have expressed an interest in the 29-year-old. They were the ones that relegated Spezia after winning the play-off game, it’s worth noting.
Milan will likely not demand a lot for his departure and could possibly even terminate his contract, even if he’s still worth just over €5m on the balance sheet. It remains to be seen if a solution can be found between the parties. Staying at Milan isn’t an option, that’s for sure.
