According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews) this morning, the arrivals of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah helped reinforce the midfield department after the sale of Sandro Tonali, but the business might not be done.
Fenerbahçe are serious in their attempts to sign Krunic, even if for now they are not close to the €14-15m asking price and have instead offered around €5m. The high demands from the Rossoneri show the Bosnian is not for sale.
However, Fenerbahçe’s salary offer to the former Empoli player is sizeable and he is actually pushing to go and play in Turkey. If forced to sell, Milan could turn to Nicolas Dominguez of Bologna, but a new name has emerged: Marten De Roon.
The Dutchman is a different profile from those evaluated by Milan up to now, but unlike others he is affordable because he is 32 years of age and has a contract expiring in 2024.
Furthermore, we are talking about a ready player, with experience both in Italy and in Europe, so he would be a functional element for Stefano Pioli’s rotations in the middle of the field. We’ll see if this idea turns into something more concrete in the next few days.
