CM: Udinese duo want to show off against Milan amid market rumours – the Rossoneri’s stance

Beto Betuncal and Gerard Deulofeu are likely to be Udinese’s front two against AC Milan tonight, and the game carries a bit of background for both.

Calciomercato.com reports how Beto was one of the great protagonists of the 1-1 draw at the DACIA Arena in the reverse fixture earlier this season as he scored the goal with which the Bianconeri took the lead in the 17th minute before Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalised in the 92nd minute.

The Portuguese striker spoke of his admiration for Ibrahimovic who is one of his idols, recalling their chat earlier in the season: “Against Milan I was excited because I played against Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he told me ‘keep it up like you are strong’. I said ‘thank you, this moment is a dream for me’. I could not swap my shirt with his because everyone else wanted his, I was only able to take a picture.”

That was back 11 December and in the following days there was talk of a possible interest from Milan in Beto, but in actual fact the 24-year-old still does not fully convince the Rossoneri management.

Udinese have to pay a sum between €10-13m to sign him permanently from the Portuguese side Portimonense and if he is bought then Milan will keep an eye on him next season.

Meanwhile Gerard Deulofeu was at Milan on loan between January and June 2017 and he would like to return to the Rossoneri before the end of his career, as he has revealed in interviews. He has 6 goals in 17 appearances, but at the moment it seems Milan have other priorities.
