Alvaro Morata was subbed off after 55 minutes in AC Milan’s 3-0 win against Lecce last night. It looked like a precaution, but there was still some concern among the Rossoneri fans. As per a report, they can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Morata opened the scoring with a great header last night and was named the MOTM by Gazzetta dello Sport. In addition to this, he received a lot of praise from club legend Billy Costacurta, stating that the Spaniard is the perfect leader for Milan.

However, as mentioned, he was subbed off quite early in the game after sitting down to unlace his shoes. According to Antonio Vitiello, Milan can now breathe a sigh of relief as there were ‘no problems’ for Morata at Milanello today.

The captain Davide Calabria and Noah Okafor, meanwhile, continued their individual training and it remains to be seen if they will be back in action against Bayer Leverkusen. The game against the latter is scheduled for Tuesday, so there isn’t loads of time between now and then.

After the positive responses in the league, Paulo GFonseca and his men now need to show their strength in the Champions League. Having a player like Morata available is absolutely crucial, in other words.
