You’ll probably know him as ‘Kaka’, the Brazilian phenomenon, whose genius endeared him to the hearts of the Milan faithful during his many unforgettable years at the club. As a polite and quiet 21-year-old that arrived from Sao Paulo, he would go on to conquer the world.
Wearing the Rossoneri shirt, Kaká played 307 official matches and scored 104 goals, over two different periods. The first spell – from 2003 to 2009 – is definitely the one he is better remembered for, but there was a return in the 2013-14 season too.
With Milan, Kakà won: 1 European Super Cup (2007), 1 Scudetto (2004), 1 Italian Super Cup (2004), 1 Champions League (2007), 1 Club World Cup (2007), 1 Ballon d’Or (2007), 1 FIFA World Player (2007), 1 AIC Football Oscar (2007).
He continues to keep up with matters at Milan, voicing his support for Santiago Gimenez earlier in the week. On this his 44th birthday, sit back and enjoy the brilliance of a player that Milan have arguably not seen the level of since.
