Gianluigi Donnarumma had a great night between the sticks making seven saves from shots on target, but he was also well protected by the centre-back pairing comprised of captain Alessio Romagnoli and loanee Simon Kjaer.

The Italy and Denmark internationals did a great job thwarting several counter-attacks and dangerous opportunities against a dangerous opponent with a man advantage.
