He almost set Giroud up for what would have been a hat-trick as he cut inside and made one of his typical darting runs in off the left towards the edge of the box, releasing a brilliant through ball to his compatriot who steadied himself well but unfortunately hit the post and therefore was unable to make it an ‘assist’.
