CM: West Ham loanee shining for Torino – the background involving Milan’s attempt

AC Milan had the chance to bring Nikola Vlasic to Serie A, and now he has finally ended up in Italy but is shining with Torino instead.

Calciomercato.com recall how Vlasic has two goals in his first five games for Torino – coming against Atalanta and Lecce – which is a good start to a season in which he hopes to regain some confidence and some form after a difficult first campaign at West Ham.

His compatriot Ivan Juric wanted him at Torino and he knows how best to use him, with their sporting director Davide Vagnati having tried all summer to sign him from West Ham before managing to eventually agree a loan deal with a €15m option to buy.

CSKA Moscow asked Milan for over €30m a year ago so Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara decided to abandon the operation, and also made the call not to revisit it this summer too. Instead, Charles De Keteleare was focused on while the Granata can smile having signed a forward with a point to prove.
