CM: West Ham loanee shining for Torino – the background involving Milan’s attempt

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan had the chance to bring Nikola Vlasic to Serie A, and now he has finally ended up in Italy but is shining with Torino instead. recall how Vlasic has two goals in his first five games for Torino – coming against Atalanta and Lecce – which is a good start to a season in which he hopes to regain some confidence and some form after a difficult first campaign at West Ham.

His compatriot Ivan Juric wanted him at Torino and he knows how best to use him, with their sporting director Davide Vagnati having tried all summer to sign him from West Ham before managing to eventually agree a loan deal with a €15m option to buy.

CSKA Moscow asked Milan for over €30m a year ago so Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara decided to abandon the operation, and also made the call not to revisit it this summer too. Instead, Charles De Keteleare was focused on while the Granata can smile having signed a forward with a point to prove.

  1. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this guy that milan should we be mad at we didn’t get him , thank you Kakha Kaladze for trying to get him to milan but unfortunately we didn’t get him by being to cheap

    1. I agree with you. De Keteleare is not that good compared to Kvaratskhelia and Maldini should have listened to Kaladze. Yesterday De Keteleare was rather bad, except in the starting of goal.

  2. Vlasic is very talented — he won MVP / Player of the Year in the Russian league and West Ham let him rot on the bench. I’m happy for him that he’s getting a chance to play again at Torino. Good for him.

And yes, Orsic is a fantastic player. Dinamo Zagreb have beaten a London team 3 years in a row in European competition:
2020 — beat Tottenham 3-0 (Orsic hat trick)
2021 — beat West Ham 1-0 (Orsic scored)
2022 (today) — beat Chelsea 1-0 (Orsic again)
