Zaniolo’s father discusses future amid Milan links: “He’s very comfortable”

One of the positions that AC Milan could reinforce in the summer is the right-wing and Nicolo Zaniolo has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri. The player’s father has now shared an update on the situation.

Zaniolo joined Galatasaray in February but before that, Milan made an attempt to sign him during the January window. A move never materialised but the Italian is still on the Rossoneri’s radar, with a move possible in the future.

Speaking CalcioSpezia, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Zaniolo’s father Igor Zaniolo shared his thoughts on the future and shut down the recent rumours. A classic answer which leaves the door open for a move.

“He’s doing great at Galatasaray, they’ve signed him especially for next year’s Champions League. Surely they will win the league this year. There are many rumours, but Nicolò has a certain price and he’s very comfortable in Istanbul,” he stated.

Zaniolo has scored three goals in nine appearances for the Turkish side and he has a release clause of €35m. Obviously, this is too much for Milan and they would only make a serious attempt if there is scope for a significant discount.
