The Daily Mail report that Ziyech is no longer wanted by Thomas Tuchel and as a result Chelsea are willing to let him go for as little as £8.4m, which is €10m, but the Morocco international will have to reduce his salary demands if he is to get the move he wants.
The report even adds that the Milan management now have Ziyech as their number one target, preferring him to Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere, who they have been told they cannot sign without a sizeable increase in their offer.
Head coach Stefano Pioli and technical director Paolo Maldini believing that Ziyech ‘would be better suited to the league’ than De Ketelaere as per the Mail, and Pioli is hoping that an agreement is found between the club.
Ziyech has made 83 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Ajax, scoring 14 goals, and Tuchel feels he is ‘not disciplined enough tactically’ and is happy to let him leave. Milan ‘also have concerns of their own’ but they are ready to take the risk.
