Daily Mail: Ziyech overtakes De Ketelaere as Milan’s No.1 target – €10m deal possible

Hakim Ziyech wants to leave Chelsea and join AC Milan but there is a condition that must occur for the deal to take place, a report claims.

The Daily Mail report that Ziyech is no longer wanted by Thomas Tuchel and as a result Chelsea are willing to let him go for as little as £8.4m, which is €10m, but the Morocco international will have to reduce his salary demands if he is to get the move he wants.

The report even adds that the Milan management now have Ziyech as their number one target, preferring him to Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere, who they have been told they cannot sign without a sizeable increase in their offer.

Head coach Stefano Pioli and technical director Paolo Maldini believing that Ziyech ‘would be better suited to the league’ than De Ketelaere as per the Mail, and Pioli is hoping that an agreement is found between the club.

Ziyech has made 83 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Ajax, scoring 14 goals, and Tuchel feels he is ‘not disciplined enough tactically’ and is happy to let him leave. Milan ‘also have concerns of their own’ but they are ready to take the risk.

  1. Just want to see Botman and Sanches flop next season and regrets decline Milan like Simakan and Faivre lol

  2. Well if ziyech come, we just can hope he didnt make a “tactical indisiplinary”, caause pioli really concern about player tactical intelligent and spirit more than individual skill. That’s how we manage to clinch scudetto.

  3. They could renew renew Romagnoli, sign Dybala and Belotti as free agents, and then spend whatever left for the right wing and Kessie replacements. But on the other side I am now thinking that all this is happening because there is no budget at all, so they keep fans and the media busy until the time is over. Don’t know, this is so embarrassing that affects the club’s image overall.

  4. Ziyech makes sense only if Ziyech or Messias or Saele can move to AM position, and I’m not sure that’s a good fit.

I still think Ziyech is not coming, there are quite a few pieces of the puzzle that are complicated to fit together. If we get him, we’d have to drop one of Saelemakers, Messias, Krunic or Diaz which is far from ideal…. Saele and Messias just got a new contract … so Diaz or Krunic are likely to leave?
Diaz is likely to be on the cutting block in January either way when Ibra comes back from injury. Krunic would suck if he leaves since with many close games, he can cover multiple roles in midfield or attack without complaining and is almost a guaranteed sub in most games.

At this point, it’s probably more likely to get just the Aston Villa midfielder and a central defender than to get Ziyech. Maybe our management really really likes him, but if they really do like him, why Ziyech is plan B then ?

    1. Krunic became useless as Adli can cover all the roles in the midfield as well (+ trequartista) but does that 100x better.

And if Diaz goes… Well, let’s see if there is even one fan here who would object to him leaving. I doubt there is…

  5. If Club Brugge is feeling reluctant to reduce the price of De Ketelaere, Ziyech is a super powerful player. We knew him at Ajax and what he did to Chelsea, Madrid and Juventus. Lets take him now. He is more experienced than CDK
