Mediaset: Milan pushing for Borussia Dortmund man as hypothesis of swap deal emerges

By Oliver Fisher -

An update has arrived on AC Milan’s pursuit of a new attacking midfielder with the hypothesis of an exchange deal mentioned.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanNews), CSKA Moscow star Nikola Vlasic is forcing his hand to try and get a move to AC Milan this summer, but Russian club are not willing to give in to the offered formula of a loan with option to buy.

They would, however, accept a loan with obligation to buy which has forced Milan to reflect. As for the attacking midfielder, another name is followed in Julian Brandt from Borussia Dortmund, who could arrive in an exchange deal with winger Rafaael Leao.

The Portuguese winger would move to the Bundesliga side and start a new adventure there after an up and down couple of years in Italy, while the German would arrive in Serie A to try his hand at a new league.

  1. That is the opinion of the journalist and his wish is not Milan. Milan has other options, the right side is ok, Leao and Rebic will play there, the problem is the left side where one player has to go Saelemaekers or Castillejo !!!!

    1. Im sure you are aware of it but rebic, leao and hauge plays on the left side and saelemaekers and castillejo on the right one. Rebic though could be used on the right side if things goes sour in our hunt for a right wing but wouldnt yet worry too much about that though, I dont see us selling saelemaekers yet and even though he could improve on some parametres im fairly confident that both the club and player want to continue on the same path. as the player still has a lot to offer even as a substitute. Castillejo though propably will be sold for 6-8 mil before the transfer window closes.
