MN: Probable XI for Milan vs. Lazio – Big guns to return

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan need to get back to winning ways immediately when they take on Lazio in a crucial match when it comes to Champions League qualification.

As has been reported by Milan News, Stefano Pioli is expected to bring the big guns back into the team for the game against the Biancocelesti.

He was disappointed with the players that he brought into the team against Cremonese, a game that only finished 1-1 with a late equaliser from the Rossoneri.

Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are all expected to come back into the starting lineup, making Milan a stronger team for the clash against a Lazio team that know they are close to booking their place in the Champions League.

A few positions are yet to be decided with Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi battling for right, whilst any of Junior Messias, Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers could start on the right wing.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Krunic, Tonali; Messias, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

  1. This match does not matter much as we are 6 points behind Lazio. Us beating Lazio will help Inter, Juve and Atalanta a lot to catch up to the second place while we will help ourselves very little. A must-win anyway unless we want to trade standings with Roma.

    1. the fact is Lazio will stutter. If you think they win all 5 of the remaining games. They won’t after Immobile is gone. They’ll draw somwhere or the othere. We need to capitalise and knock Lazio out of the top 4.

  2. Optimistic 3 punti then win on semifinal. Dont play kjaer and bennacer vs lazio , better use them in semifinal

  3. no matter – the draw against cremonese was to much. We will not win every remaining game – tomorrow we will see the next draw. Could have been so cool to start a run after 0-4 victory against napoli

    1. Yeah Pioli just dislike the Ws, he ‘ll rather settle for a draw than gets a win, I wonder what going through Pioli mind, like Milan Xl can’t play six games in a row.
