A section of the Udinese support have claimed that there is no proof of the racist abuse that Mike Maignan says he received from some fans at the Dacia Arena on Saturday evening.
Maignan left the pitch in the first half of Milan’s 3-2 win over Udinese at the weekend after he heard repeated monkey noises being aimed at him by fans behind the goal.
A small group of fans have now claimed that there is a lack of proof that these chants actually happened and they feel the situation has been blown out of proportion.
A statement from the Udinese Amacord group on Sunday (via Football Italia) reads: “Fifty security cameras, microphones, officials, and the only one to have heard this mysterious racist abuse was Maignan?
“A FIFA President who is still under investigation for having made money with football and a CONI President who condemns a gesture that was proved by no police force or sports judge.
“Like sheep, they say something on TV or social media, and everyone believes it? Before defaming a fanbase and our people, at least show the proof.”
It is a statement that is unlikely to garner any sort of backing, considering the claims made about FIFA president Gianni Infantino is not currently under investigation and the mayor of Udinese – Alberto Felice De Toni – has publicly backed Maignan and the club are working to bring life bans to fans that committed the abuse.
The Udinese ultras need to be banned for life until they come out and say who the people are who had been saying racists chants. That’s the only way you deal with those type of people otherwise this will keep happening.

Plenty of proof already, some by idiots like them sharing on social media videos of them shouting racist remarks to maignan. Happy to see them be banned!

Proof is in the video. Denial won’t work here. They can’t possibly deny it. Even their own club admitted it. Balzaretti said so himself. It’s a clear as day fact
If audio was indeed added to the videos then they must first prove that is the case. You can’t go to the judge and tell him/her that the evidence from the police is rigged. Gotta prove it first boys. Otherwise the videos will be enough to get them banned for life.
Makes Udine Ultras look like the provincial clowns that they are when literally videos had been posted of them yelling “Ne**o Me**a” behind Mike’s goal…
What an absolute sad bunch…
The saddest thing is everyone sitting around these people who don’t have the balls to say anything. Staying silent, or worse, actively denying anything was said.
