MilanNews reported yesterday that Milan have virtually already tied up a deal for Maignan of Lille. The agreement will see the French club get €18m and the goalkeeper will earn €3m net per year.

They added how move has been made because Donnarumma and Mino Raiola have not yet said yes or no to the offer of €8m net for the next five years made to them by Milan, which it’s worth noting is an €80m commitment by comparison to the Maignan deal at €43.5m.

Maldini and Massara have defined the details of the deal with Maignan, who is well aware that he will be able to move to Milan only if Donnarumma – who remains the Rossoneri’s priority – were to definitively leave.

Maignan’s agent Bruno Satin was interviewed by Gianluca Di Marzio and was questioned on links between his client and AC Milan.

“Maignan is a top goalkeeper, he is the Bernard Lama heir. Mike always says that he was an example for him,” he said.

“Maignan would be an excellent choice for Milan in the event that Donnarumma does not renew. He grew up in the PSG academy, but at Lille he has grown a lot in all aspects: he is one of the fundamental players of Lille’s season.”

Satin then advised Italian clubs to look carefully at the French market: “It will be possible to do good business even saving money, many clubs are in financial distress and need to sell or, in some cases, sell off their players.”
