As Tuttosport (via MilanVibes) report this morning, Milan’s plan seems to be to mix youth with experience moving forward, as shown with signings like Adrien Rabiot and Ardon Jashari last summer. This could have an impact on Camarda and Kostic’s immediate futures.

Two young strikers to evaluate

Camarda is no longer just a talent for whom patience is needed. Things went badly at Lecce, with the Salento side making dubious decisions (like the signing and persistent use of Stulic) as well as his unfortunate shoulder injury which will see him miss several games.

The Giallorossi have the worst attack of the entire league, with a paltry 21 goals in 31 games played, which doesn’t help things. Camarda is now 18 and must be managed correctly, which Milan are well aware of.

The vision for the youth sector graduate remains clear: progressive growth, targeted minutes, no shortcuts. It’s not about holding him back, but about supporting him, like how Inter did with Pio Esposito (who spent two seasons at Spezia).

Someone is needed to fill the spaces. Kostić is this type of player: his 10 goals in the Serbian top flight this season suggest he is more ready. He’s the classic signing who doesn’t upset the media balance, but helps the tactical one. Above all, he takes the pressure off those who are developing.

Kostic will officially become a new Milan player starting July 1st. He signed last month from Partizan Belgrade for €3.5m, plus €4.5m in bonuses and a 10% resale fee. The Montenegrin striker will finish the season in Serbia and then be expected at Milanello in the summer.

Both he and Camarda will be evaluated during a training camp by Massimiliano Allegri. Then, the club, obviously in agreement with the coach, will decide their futures.

The Italian could go on loan again, while Kostic could opt for a stint at Milan Futuro with a view to earning a spot in the senior squad, or he too could be loaned out.
