According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan trained twice on Wednesday, in the morning and afternoon. A double session in the heat of Milanello was then followed by a day of rest granted today by Allegri and his staff.

It is a bit of an ‘unusual schedule’ writes the paper, in which the coaching staff have combined and will continue to combine athletic and tactical work with a bit of relaxation to relieve the pressure.
Starting tomorrow morning (Friday 22 May), the team will return to their training camp at Milanello, where they will remain until Sunday evening’s match against Cagliari.
A week ago, Allegri explained that the solution was agreed upon to spend time together and – for some new fathers like Strahinja Pavlovic and Matteo Gabbia – also to rest better. The effects against Genoa were evident, and all that’s left is one final push.
As a reminder, Milan need to win their final match of 2025-26 against the Sardinian side in order to secure third place and book their spot in the 2026-27 edition of the Champions League.
