As things stand, Milan are waiting to hear the will of Morata, who is open to leaving Galatasaray only six months after joining. Returning to Spain is possible. But reports state that a move to Como could be the surprise option.
A friendship with Cesc Fabregas could sway the striker to the move, and it is a move to watch this summer, with his loan looking possible to end.
No problem
The alternative is him returning to Milan and staying, where, as Tuttosport write (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are contemplating spending €30 million on a new striker. At present, the main target is a former disciple of Allegri, Dusan Vlahovic.
However, he could be avoided in favour of another disciple, Morata. Put simply, the club would avoid risking the future of Gimenez, as well as save money on a striker, money which could be invested elsewhere.
Previously, the Italian coach has raved about Morata’s ability to play in a number of different roles, and you would also assume he would be open to rotating. It is an option to be considered, perhaps.
