The idea of Alvaro Morata returning to AC Milan before moving up the road to Como is gaining momentum quickly.
Morata joined Milan from Atletico Madrid in the 2024 summer transfer window for a fee of €13m, but he never really hit the ground running and managed just half a season before leaving for Galatasaray.

The striker has certainly said some interesting things about the move since leaving, such as how on reflection joining Milan was the wrong thing to do. Even though he is only out on loan, this means it is a reasonable assumption his time with the Rossoneri is done.
Morata speaks with Fabregas
Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews) last night, Luca Marchetti reported that there were talks between Cesc Fabregas and Morata over a possible transfer to Como. The Spanish striker has given his availability to the coach, who he has known for some time now.
Morata is currently on loan at Galatasaray until January 2026. For the Como option to become reality, the loan spell needs to be ended early and this is not a formality, given the Turkish side paid €6m to have him until them. Calciomercato.com, though, confirm it is a possibility.
The team by the lake are looking to back Fabregas after he pledged his loyalty to their project. They made the first move by signing Martin Baturina from Dinamo Zagreb for €18m plus €7m in bonuses, and are working on other reinforcements, such as the Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell.
