As Diario AS report, Milan resumed their attempts to sign Chukwueze last Wednesday and after they failed to land Arnaut Danjuma they decided to push more forcefully to try and sign the Nigerian winger.
It seems the acceleration has been successful too, and now the operation will close for a fixed figure of €20m but with bonuses that could take the deal up to €30m, which Villarreal deem fair for a player who only had one year left on his contract.
Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract for Milan, therefore running until June 2028, and will join an attacking department that includes Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic and soon Noah Okafor too.
After the sale of Nicolas Jackson to Chelsea and Pau Torres to Aston Villa, in addition to the loan of Danjuma to Everton, Villarreal are continuing with a policy of letting key players leave only if their price is met.
