Mirror: Aubameyang asking for double Ibrahimovic’s salary to secure Milan return

AC Milan are set to explore the idea of bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the club but his wages are a huge obstacle, according to a report.

The Mirror in England are reporting that Milan are keen on signing Aubameyang back over 10 years after he was last at the club having joined the youth academy and then the senior side, but also having never featured for the first time.

The 32-year-old has not played since the 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on December 6 and he was stripped of the captaincy after a ‘disciplinary breach’. The report mentions that he wants a new challenge elsewhere, with Milan interested on bringing Aubameyang back to the San Siro.

However, the Gabon international currently gets a colossal £350,000 per-week which is around €420k and Milan’s highest earner is 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic on £120,000-a-week which is around €144k. Aubameyang’s entourage are expected to ask for at least double what Ibra gets in order to return.
