Mirror: Aubameyang asking for double Ibrahimovic’s salary to secure Milan return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to explore the idea of bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the club but his wages are a huge obstacle, according to a report.

The Mirror in England are reporting that Milan are keen on signing Aubameyang back over 10 years after he was last at the club having joined the youth academy and then the senior side, but also having never featured for the first time.

The 32-year-old has not played since the 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on December 6 and he was stripped of the captaincy after a ‘disciplinary breach’. The report mentions that he wants a new challenge elsewhere, with Milan interested on bringing Aubameyang back to the San Siro.

However, the Gabon international currently gets a colossal £350,000 per-week which is around €420k and Milan’s highest earner is 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic on £120,000-a-week which is around €144k. Aubameyang’s entourage are expected to ask for at least double what Ibra gets in order to return.

    1. Aren’t you also looking to some underperforming stars from other teams. What doesn’t work with you works elsewhere. Stop undermining Auba. He’s played his part and the reward is ostracizing him as punishment for displinary breaches, please allow him his peace. You can ask him to leave your Arteta club, but not his world.

  1. I’d pay Kessie what he wants and give Theo and Leao big raises loonngggg before even considering paying anything substantial to Aubameyang.

    1. That’s your problem not Auba’s. Play him or not, he’s enjoying his contract with Arsenal at your own peril. You can’t push him out without his terms. We thought Arsenal would learn from Ozil debacle, but Auba’s unfortunate scenario is showing Arteta’s managerial cluelessness. Once beaten should be twice wise, this is not Arteta’s. It’s all to Arsenal’s disadvantage. I pray someone is guided by sense of reasoning, but not sentiment.

    2. I don’t know why Auba’s personal progress has become our headache. Fine our Arteta has declared him surplus to requirements. For God sake, how does his future negotiations with other club become our albatross.
If you think he’s being disrespectful, then, to whom?
      Arsenal?
      Himself? or
      Who?
After all discplinary breach has the biggest risk of contract termination. If you’re fed of him, terminate the contract and do the needful or continue to foolishly respect the terms of the contract. After all he never refused to play!

  2. Sooo… How many goals has Aubameyang scored in Serie A? As soon as he has doubled the amount of goals Zlatan has scored, he can have his salary wishes.

  3. 32 years old , receive 15m euro / years in Arsenal . AC Milan don’t need his type striker ( poacher and depend on speed) , but need Ibra type ( physical, good header ) . Better invest on belotti Wage to play rotation with Ibra and giroud
