Tuttosport: Belotti finds himself in a difficult position while waiting for Milan’s call

Andrea Belotti risks finding himself in a difficult position between now and the start of next season with several things still up in the air, a report claims.

According to reports from Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), there seems to be concerns about what Belotti’s state of mind will be like after his return from the national team. He now seems to be on the sidelines of Roberto Mancini’s plans having barely played over the break, and now there is no World Cup to look forward to and aim for.

His future at club level is a big unknown too, because while a free transfer could appeal to many clubs, nobody seems willing to pay the €3.6m net per season he is asking for to leave the Granata.

In recent months there has been a lot of speculation about discussions between Milan and Belotti over a potential free transfer. The Rossoneri need a striker and Il Gallo is a Milan fan since childhood, but Maldini and Massara seem to have chosen to turn to other profiles.

Divock Origi looks set to arrive on a free transfer while Gianluca Scamacca is a target too. In short, there does not seem to be any possibility for Belotti to arrive and his wait for Milan’s call may continue.
