Emerson Royal is getting closer to leaving AC Milan as Besiktas have stepped up their interest and have sent an offer.
Despite only signing for Milan around one year ago, it has felt like Emerson’s days at the club have been numbered since the winter window. Kyle Walker arrived in January to take his spot, and it is believed the Brazilian was Galatasaray-bound before a serious muscle injury.

Now that the window is open once again, speculation has been rife suggesting that the former Spurs man has his bags packed and that a switch to Turkey could be back on. This only increased when Massimiliano Allegri chose not to call him up for the preseason tour of the Far East.
Bestikas send bid
The latest update from Fabrizio Romano reads as follows: “Besiktas are accelerating to close Emerson Royal deal with AC Milan after official bid sent. Loan until June 2026 with €10m buy option clause.”
Meanwhile, Matteo Moretto adds: “Beşiktaş are close to signing Emerson Royal. New contacts between the parties in recent hours as well, and the negotiation is moving forward quickly with Milan for a loan with an option to buy for €10m.
“A three-year contract is ready for the Brazilian player. Flamengo had also inquired about Emerson Royal’s situation, but the Turkish club now wants to finalise the deal.”
We are such a losers to give all our players for free with an option to buy….
There’ll be a loan fee involved which will probably cover the amortisation value for the year too. And all the power here is with the buyer, seeing as we both want the player to leave and have no registration spaces to keep him.

I’d perfer an outright acquisition too but at least they’re taking him and his salary off our team and books for a season.

Unfortunately, clubs don’t exactly look at Emerson Royal while being eager to buy him. If we try to drive a hard bargain, they might just give up all together and we’ll be stuck with the player.
Just take whatever offer we receive and hope we don’t have to see him again in our squad.

15 mil + 2 in potential bonuses according to Football Italia but apparently it seems like Besiktas is about to drop their interest as Flamengo is trying to highjack the deal. Not really sure that is for the better but I guess we will just have to hope for the best as I’m not really that the Brazilians will pay his full salary.

A loan with an option is far from ideal but considering that he has a 4.6 mil gross salary pr. season its nevertheless for the best but maybe we could try to insert an obligation if Besiktas becomes champions or something.
Kick the can down the road… because thats the quality of the players this management has been bringing in. Can’t even offload them properly.
Maybe they could re-evaluate the quality of the players they bring in, so that when you try to move on from them, someone will actually want to BUY them right away.

Never going to happen they’re stuck on their 20-30 model with no UCL money, they have to ensure the books are in the green cause that is the owners main focus. We must accept a few things about Redbird:
1. they actually aren’t wealthy like Newcastle owners or even our previous owners Elliot, they had to loan big to buy Milan much like inters previous few owners. So spending big is not possible really our owners couldn’t even afford the club.
2. they have their own business views on how to run football clubs this is why we keep selling our best players (a trend that was present with Maldini too honestly but they usually left for free) and why last season was so calamitous they don’t know what they’re doing but are yes men and that’s why despite being worse than Maldini they still have jobs, so it’s up to Allegri and Tare.
3. Is strictly results based with them not a project to build on, we currently need a lot of players in a lot of positions but have been so slow on the market, like last season Allegri won’t have near a full squad come the beginning of the season

It’s so funny when it comes to Emerson, im actually embarrassed that our once great club scouted, watched videos, watched games of this guy, and still said let’s go get him🤣🤣yet 99.9% of us fans saw this coming a mile away yet the ‘professionals’ running a professional football club couldn’t??
