CM: Milan and Real Madrid have unwritten agreement over €22m playmaker deal – the situation

Milan are preparing to discuss the possibility of making Brahim Diaz’s move from Real Madrid a permanent one as early as this summer, according to a report.

Diaz returned to San Siro following an initial season-long loan in 2020/21, agreeing to a further two-year loan spell where he has impressed around a bout of COVID-19.

Calciomercato.com reports that the Rossoneri have an option to purchase Diaz for €22m and could discuss activating that a year early, thanks to a gentleman’s agreement.

Real Madrid can also buy back Diaz for a €27m fee according to the report, should they see a future for him at the Santiago Bernabeu once again.

Diaz has racked up four goals and four assists in all competitions this season, starting the campaign in red-hot form. The 22-year-old endured a rough patch following a period with COVID-19, but has looked back to his best in more recent weeks.
