CM: Brahim Diaz will remain and has a point to prove – a future-defining season awaits

Despite rumours that his loan spell could be ended early, Brahim Diaz will be staying at AC Milan and is out for redemption in the coming season.

Calciomercato.com confirms that Brahim Diaz will not leave the Rossoneri early despite the choice of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to go for Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea.

Trust in the Spanish playmaker has been renewed, and next season will be his third at the club with the management hoping for a Leao-esque explosion. There will be a decision to make in June 2023 together with Real Madrid when his loan is up, however.

Milan paid €3m for the loan and can buy him permanently for €22m next summer, but Los Blancos have a buy-back at €27m that they can exercise in that window only.

Brahim has returned in shape from the holidays and is playing to prove that he deserves to be bought. The 4 goals and 4 assists in 40 total matches last season are not a sufficient number for someone with the No.10 shirt, but there is a chance to put things right.
