AC Milan captain Mike Maignan has become only the second player to share his thoughts on the 2025-26 season.

Maignan is one of a few players who can hold their heads high after a campaign that started with so much promise. He was among the decisive performers in the very positive start and even his performance in the season finale against Cagliari was admirable.
Nevertheless, without Champions League football, speculation about the Frenchman’s future has ramped up. There is talk that he could look to potentially move on, despite the fact that he only signed a new contract a few months ago, with Premier League clubs circling again.
In a post on Instagram, Maignan offered a brief synopsis of what was a rollercoaster campaign, filled with many positive moments but sadly ending with a decline that cost Massimiliano Allegri his job (among others).
“Another year in which, unfortunately, our goals were not achieved. Thank you to the AC Milan fans for your support throughout the year. Joy and sadness are part of life for the club’s players and fans. Sooner or later, AC Milan will rise again,” he said.
