Reports are claiming that AC Milan’s owner Gerry Cardinale will attend the lunchtime kick-off against Genoa at the Marassi.

The magnitude of the game needs little explanation as Milan must rebound from their recent collapse to win their last two in order to book a place in the Champions League. Having won just two of their last eight though, it is far from a foregone conclusion.
They also face a Genoa side that are comfortably safe and can treat the match as a bit of a free hit, while Roma legend Daniele De Rossi is in the dugout for the Rossoblu, someone who would no doubt love to help out his former club,
Cardinale to attend
According to what is being reported by Sky (via MilanNews), the Milan owner Gerry Cardinale will be at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa today to be close to the team and watch a fixture that is crucial in the Champions League race.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write that the club’s decision is to focus solely on the match, with any organisational decisions postponed until the end of the season when Cardinale will finalise a potentially new structure.
It’s possible that the RedBird founder himself will be there today, but they are less certain than Sky. Cardinale’s attendance is not yet confirmed, but it would be a further sign of the importance of this moment for the fate of the team and the Rossoneri.
It comes after Cardinale gave a couple of interviews during the week in which he expressed disappointment at the way the season has developed, promising evaluations on the managerial structure.
