CaughtOffside: Milan still monitoring Chelsea outcast with hopes of a loan deal

After announcing the signing of Alvaro Morata, AC Milan are now working on bringing in a deputy striker and Armando Broja is one of the names on their list. According to a report, they are holding out hope for a loan deal.

Broja has been linked with Milan for many years now and as the links resurfaced earlier in the summer, it became clear that Chelsea aren’t open to a loan. However, the Rossoneri are not expected to give up that easily, still monitoring the situation.

According to CaughtOffside, Milan are looking for a deputy striker and while they have a slight preference for Roma’s Tammy Abraham, Broja remains on the wish list. The educated guess is that Chelsea could cave towards the end of the transfer window, accepting a loan bid after all.

The 22-year-old has struggled in the last two seasons and could really use a relaunch, with Milan proving in the past that they can revitalise Chelsea outcast. Fikayo Tomori ended up joining for around €30m after his loan, for example, so that formula could actually be beneficial for the Blues as well.

Milan are also keeping tabs on Niclas Fullkrug, with talks scheduled with Borussia Dortmund to try to reach an agreement.
