CorSport: Milan eyeing discount as Fullkrug gives green light – the starting price

By Isak Möller -

Niclas Fullkrug is the primary target for the deputy striker role at AC Milan and according to a report, he has already agreed to join the club. As such, the Rossoneri are aiming to get a discount from Borussia Dortmund.

Milan announced the signing of Alvaro Morata on Friday and the Spaniard will certainly be the starting striker this upcoming season. However, he won’t be able to play every game from start to finish and the Rossoneri are thus expected to sign a deputy.

According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have chosen Niclas Fullkrug for this role as a departure from Borussia Dortmund is possible. The German international has already given the green light for the move and the starting price is set at €15m.

Given the striker’s willingness to join the Rossoneri, as well as his age of 31, Milan are aiming to obtain a discount. The situation could be similar to that of Youssouf Fofana, who also has accepted a move to Milan and is waiting for an agreement between them and Monaco.

That being said, Atletico Madrid have also enquired about Fullkrug’s situation and although he isn’t a primary target for them, Milan need to be careful.

  1. This management… if one player has a relase clause of 1$ they will still ask for discount!
In the meantime Atletico seems to be interested in Fullkrug and they don’t have a problem paying 20 mil for him

    1. He’s a better player than Morata. They need to hurry up, stop saying deputy for Morata, he could bench Morata any time.

  2. If we wanted older striker. Even better player than him and Morata was Taremi who is now at Inter. I much rather see us go for Ramos as PSG are close to sign Osemieh. They also have Kolo Muani so he could be the x factor signing. Much better, younger and technical CF. Loan with option to buy would be ideal.

    1. Very good ideea. I don’t know if it’s a feasible ideea but I don’t think our managers have heard of this guy either 😆

    2. Come on, Taremi is not better than Morata and he comes from an awful season with Porto, just check the numbers. Any player from PSG is not an option because of the salary

  3. Icardi is better than all the names you have all mentioned and knows the league much more. but we don’t want him why?

  4. So many financial analysts and experienced club managers in these threads. Everyone knows what to do. Very refreshing to see…
