De Ketelaere continues to be linked with a move to Milan and he not take the field in the 120 minutes played by his side in Wageningen against Copenhagen in a preseason friendly yesterday, which fuelled the rumours that he may soon leave.
According to Alexander Braeckman of RTLSport on Twitter, discussions are still ongoing between Club Brugge and Milan, and there is ‘no agreement yet’. However, Brugge are anticipating the following offer from Milan: €30m in cash plus Primavera duo Andreas Jungdal and Emil Roback.
The coach of Brugge – Carl Hoefkens – spoke to Nieuwsblad.be about the situation relating to De Ketelaere and Noa Lang, in particular regarding the rumours that they could soon leave the club.
“I’ll tell you what I said: ‘I would prefer you to stay’. I try to talk to them casually, I want to know what’s going on in their heads. But in my opinion they are in a position of luxury,” he began (via MilanNews).
“They are both incredibly loved and highly regarded here. As a club we will work on a transfer at the right time, but until then they just have to prepare as well as possible. For us or for their new team.”
