In the final days of the summer mercato, Milan reached an agreement with Barcelona for the loan transfer of Dest. It was a last-minute signing as Alessandro Florenzi sustained a serious injury against Sassuolo, forcing the management to act.
There is a €20m buy-out clause in the loan deal and as reported by Calciomercato.com, the Champions League exclusion can be seen as a clear message in that sense. Milan, in fact, have no intention of redeeming the American international for €20m.
Davide Calabria remains the No.1 choice for the right-hand side and Milan also expect Alessandro Florenzi to be back in action soon. Having said that, the Rossoneri signing a new right-back in the summer should not be excluded.
