CM: Milan beat Inter, Man Utd and Barcelona to €35m coup – operation to be completed this summer

AC Milan fully intend to sign Sandro Tonali on a permanent basis and count on him for the future, according to a report.

Milan pulled off a statement signing last summer when they landed Tonali from Brescia on a loan with option to buy deal, bolstering the midfield with one of Italy’s brightest prospects and beating competition from Inter in the process.

Calciomercato.com writes that Tonali is adapting more and more to life as a Milan player and has become an integral part of a project that aims to grow season after season. He has time, but he must of course begin to raise the level of his performances on a consistent basis.

Nonetheless, Milan have no doubts about the investment made and the €10million already paid into Brescia’s accounts for the loan fee are a guarantee of purchase for next summer. The Milan management will indeed buy him outright in the coming weeks for €15m, while another €10m in bonuses are linked to the achievement of various objectives. A jewel torn from the competition of Inter, Barcelona and Manchester United can only be supported, the report concludes.
