CM: Milan have clear ideas about the future of Rebic – two important indications arrive

AC Milan reportedly have a firm idea about what the future of Ante Rebic entails, and a sale is certainly not in the plans.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Rebic will be at Milanello today with his team-mates having enjoyed a vacation following Croatia’s disappointing campaign at the European Championships. He will return to a Milan team that want to raise the bar, in Italy and in Europe, and they need the best version of Rebic for that.

Back in the 2019-20 campaign, the former Eintracht Frankfurt man closed the first half of the season with no goals, then on January 19 a spark was lit with a brace against Udinese as he netted 11 goals in the second round. Last season, he scored his first league goal on December 23 – in the 3-2 win against Lazio – and hit a total of 11 again.

This year he will occupy the starting left win spot in Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 system and two important indications have confirmed this: the purchase of Giroud and the search for a third centre-forward and the choice of Milan not to listen to offers for Rebic.

He is in fact considered non-transferable and as a result he will play for his spot with Rafael Leao. For both of them it will be a turning point, and hopefully the campaign where they shed the label of being inconsistent.
