CM: Milan express interest in Morata but competition makes deal unlikely

AC Milan need to sign a striker this summer to bolster the squad and several players have been linked with them in the last few weeks. Alvaro Morata is one of them, but the competition for the Spaniard is fierce.

Milan had targeted Marcus Thuram as their number one target for the attack, given that he’s available on a free transfer, but the Frenchman has agreed to join Inter. Therefore, the Rossoneri are also keeping tabs on Morata.

According to Calciomercato.com, the interest is confirmed and given that Morata’s contract with Atletico Madrid will expire next year, the terms could be favourable. However, the fierce competition makes the move unlikely.

Inter are very interested in the player, per the report, and Roma could also push given that they have failed to sign Gianluca Scamacca thus far. Morata wants to return to Serie A but as things stand, AC Milan is perhaps not the most likely destination.

As the report concludes, there is also interest from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Taawon and a big offer from them could rule out all the Italian teams.
