According to Calciomercato.com, Reijnders’ name has been on Milan’s list for some time and scouts have been watching his development, but Bologna, Napoli, Ajax, Fiorentina and a couple of English clubs are also keen on him.

Reijnders is one of the most interesting profiles in Dutch football, a talent who exploded this year with AZ Alkmaar as they finished fourth place in the Eredivisie and reached the semi-finals of the Conference League.

The 24-year-old plays as a box-to-box midfielder or an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1, having amassed 8 goals and 11 assists this season, which helped him win AZ’s player of the season award and earn his first call-up with for the Netherlands.

He has been compared to Teun Koopmeiners who is currently shining with Atalanta, and Reijnders has a contract expiring in 2027 after he extended it last January.

While he is fine in Alkmaar, if a call from a big club were to arrive, he would take it into consideration. At the moment the price is close to €10m, slightly less than what Atalanta paid to AZ Alkmaar for Koopmeiners, which was around €14m.
