According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Maignan now has his mind set on France and a European Championship where he wants to play a leading role, given that Les Bleus are among the favourites to win and they have a desire for revenge after the Qatar World Cup final loss.
In the meantime, the goalkeeper’s agents work on multiple front to understand what the mercato might offer. One path could lead to Manchester City where Ederson is increasingly tempted by Saudi Arabia and thus they might need to replace him.
It emerges from Casa Milan that no concrete offer has arrived at present for Maignan from any club. The Rossoneri management that he will accept the renewal proposal formulated in recent weeks, which was €5m net per season (including bonuses) until 2028.
In Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s mind there is the belief that he can retain the former Lille star by making him even more responsible within the dressing room, given the departures of Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer who were very important figures.
Meanwhile, a report from Poland claimed that Milan are interested in signing OGC Nice’s Marcin Bułka as they begin to plan for a potential life without Maignan.
