CM: Milan still keen on Ligue 1 starlet after summer pursuit with €20m asking price set

AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg and his asking price has not skyrocketed as was thought.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are still keen on the idea of signing Simakan when the window reopens in January having pursued him strongly towards the end of the recent mercato.

After a report from France on Wednesday had suggested his asking price is in the €30-35m range, Calciomercato suggest though that the Ligue 1 side would sell if an offer in the region of €20m were to arrive.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Simakan towards the end of the summer window and his agent even confirmed to us that his client had agreed terms over a five-year deal.

We recently conducted an exclusive interview with Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews, who revealed that Elliott Management had in fact sanctioned an improved bid, but the management chose not to raise their offer.
